LSP Transparency Urged to Avert Funding Jealousy

Local strategic partnerships must be open and transparent when allocating regeneration funding to prevent communities feeling discriminated against, councils have been warned. The caution comes in guidance by the Local Government Association and central government. Community cohesion minister Beverley Hughes said: ‘I urge everyone in local government - leaders, ward councillors, workers, community groups and local businesses - to use this guidance and continue the drive towards strong and united communities in which people from different backgrounds can live and work together in mutual trust and respect.’
