The quality of support for the Third Sectorⁱ in every local area in England is to be measured by a new survey of the sector.

Having commissioned the Central Office of Information (COI) to undertake independent market research and strategic analysis in to social enterprise, the OTS has published a presentation of the findings.

The Department for Communities and Local Government has announced a new 'Asset Transfer Unit' which will be led by the Development Trusts Association. The unit will offer an independent hub of advice for local people and authorities to help community groups take control of disused public buildings if they can prove they can put them to better use.
