Guidance is currently being drafted by the Learning and Skills Council on how the Compact can be used to promote and protect the independence of the third sectorⁱ.

The government has launched plans for building fair chances for everyone to succeed in the new economy.  The New Opportunities White Paper sets out the Government’s agenda for capturing the jobs of the future and investing in families, communities and citizens throughout their lives to help them get on and ahead.

On 26 January 2009 the Learning and Skills Council (LSCⁱ) launched an Invitation to Tender ( ITT) titled Response to Redundancy.

Providers/organisations that were successful in pre-qualifying on the Qualified Provider Framework before the 10th December 2008 were invited to tender  on  Monday 26 January 2009.
