Health and Safety in Small Organisations: Reducing uncertainty, Building confidence, Improving outcomes
Over the past year, the Risk and Regulation Advisory Council has been leading an experimental offensive against the mishandling of risk in society. It looked at how distorted perceptions of risks can encourage poor policy-making and unnecessary laws, leading people to feel that Government is interfering too much in their lives.
Hardship Fund Opens for Applications
The Hardship Fund is a £16.7 million grant programme. It will support third sectori organisations in England who are delivering front-line services to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society.
Equality Measurement Framework
The Equality and Human Rights Commission has been working with the Government Equalities Office (GEO), the Scottish Government, the Welsh Assembly Government, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and a range of other stakeholders and subject experts to develop a measurement framework that can be used to assess equality and human rights across a range of domains relevant to 21st century life.
New Horizons: Towards a Shared Vision for Mental Health
Good mental health is fundamental to the well-being and prosperity of England. In the last decade, greater investment and reforms have transformed mental health care, but now we need to go further.
There is need to target the root causes of mental illness and support the local development of higher quality and more personalised services.
