Public Attitudes to Poverty and Inequality
This event is being held at the Manchester Conference Centre, Weston Building, Sackville Street, Manchester, M1 3BB on 7 September 2009. This Fabian Society and Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) seminar will interrogate in more detail the findings of two new reports supported by the JRF: Tackling Economic Inequality - an exploration of the underlying ‘drivers’ of public attitudes towards economic inequality by the Fabian Society; and Political debate about Economic Inequality by ippr.
Pathways to Work: the Experiences of Longer Term Existing Customers
The Pathways to Work pilots were introduced for new and repeat Incapacity Benefit (IB) claimants in three Jobcentre Plus districts in October 2003 and a further four Jobcentre Plus districts in April 2004.
