This event is being held at HBOS – Auditorium, 33 Old Broad Street, London, EC2 1HZ, on 25 March 2009. Weathering the recession aimed at financial directors of third sectorⁱ organisations, offering extra support and advice on managing in the current economic climate.

The Commission for Rural Communities and Globe Economic Development Consultants / Rural Innovation are looking for examples of projects which have contributed to the sustainable economic well-being of a local community and which you believe are examples of best practice from which others could learn.

The Local Government Association and NCVO have jointly published Backing Communities: Local Solutions, to highlight some of the positive ways in which local authorities can work with VCO's in response to the recession.

Following a review of the Awards for All England programme, changes are to be made to the small grants scheme’s existing format when it comes to an end in March 2009.
