Package of Support Measures Open to Third Sector Businesses
The government has announced a support package to build upon the commitments outlined in November’s Pre Budget Report. The support package aims to help companies struggling to access finance for working capital and investment.

State of the Sector Panel Data Published
The Office of the Third Sectori has published a series of reports analysing data from the State of the Sector Panel survey. The State of the Sector Panel Survey was made up of 5,600 third sector organisations.
Volunteering Study to Look at the Issue of Under-Represented Groups
Involving volunteers from under-represented groups such as disabled people, single parents, refugees and asylum seekers might incur extra costs, both in engaging and supporting these volunteers as well as many practical challenges. An investigation into the costs and benefits of engaging volunteers from under-represented groups will form the basis of a study being undertaken by the Commission for the Compact in 2009.
