Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities Lancashire
Bidding for Grants of between £20,000 and £40,000 from the 2010/11 Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities (NLDC) Lancashire County Fund will go live on Tuesday 13 July 2010. The grants are targeted at voluntary sector organisations with some experience of providing learning activity for unemployed and inactive adults.

Business Minister sets out goals for the Skills Funding Agency
The Skills Funding Agency is the new agency set up by the government to fund and regulate adult skills training in England. They have taken over the work of the Learning and Skills Council, which closed on 31 March 2010. This includes acting as a Co-Financingi organisation in the North West ESFi Programme.

Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities 2010-2011
The purpose of the Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities (NLDC) fund is to reach disadvantaged communities and individuals; to enable them to participate in learning and to support local voluntary and community sector organisations to develop their capacity to deliver learning opportunities for residents of disadvantaged neighbourhoods.
