Community Sector Feels Cold-Shouldered by LSPs

A poll of volunteers working in regeneration has suggested that ministers are failing to convince community activists that the government genuinely values their input at a strategic level. The majority of those surveyed by the charity Quest for the Neighbourhood Renewal Unit’s community participation review felt that community empowerment networks (CENs) and local strategic partnerships (LSPs) were too insular. Many believed young people as well as black and ethnic minorities were still excluded.
