ESF Community Learning Grants - Programme Evaluation: Call for proposals
The Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) is inviting suitably qualified individuals or organisations to submit proposals to carry out the Programme Evaluation for the Community Learning Grants programme for the North West of England.
The European Social Fund (ESFi) was set up to improve employment opportunities in the European Union and so help raise standards of living. It aims to help people fulfil their potential by giving them better skills and better job prospects.
ESF Community Learning Grants make funds available in the form of small grants to appropriate third sector organisations in order to help increase employment and reduce unemployment and inactivity amongst very disadvantaged populations. These grants aim to facilitate the progress of these individuals furthest from the job market to move closer towards employment.
The ESF Community Learning Grants programme for the North West is being managed for the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) by the WEA. Nearly £2m is available to be given out by December 2013 in the North West through this programme, for further details on Community Grants in the North West please visit: WEA - Community Grants
WEA is now looking to commission an independent evaluation of the programme. Proposals should be fully costed up to the value of £10,000 and respond directly to the criteria set out in the Evaluation Guidance, for further information please visit: ESF Community Grants (North West) Programme Evaluation
The deadline for proposals is 5 p.m. on Friday 22nd June, 2012. Proposals should be submitted by email to ESFgrants@wea.org.uk If you have any queries, please contact Ian McHugh, on 0161 277 5411 or ian.mchugh@wea.org.uk
