EU Enlargement
The European Commission has finalised national strategy documents for each of the ten countries joining the EU, to enable them to access the Structural Fundsi from 2004-06. Although the countries will not formally join the EU until 1 May 2004, they have been allowed to benefit from the funds from 1 January.
