European Union Fifth Report on Economic, Social and Territorial Cohesion - A chance to have your say

The Fifth Cohesion Report is a key policy document for the future of EUi funding. Published by the European Commission (10 November 2010), it outlines the approach the EU could take to regional development under the next spending round starting 2014.

The report assesses the economic progress made by Europe’s regions, makes projections on challenges for the future and suggests how the EU’s Cohesion Policy could address them from 2014.

North West Network, Merseyside Network for Europe and Voluntary Sector North West will be making a response to the consultation early in the New Year on behalf of the voluntary and community sector in the North West.

We will be seeking views to include in that consultation through a variety of means including a questionnaire.

So what can you do now?

a) Respond to the European Commission directly before the 31st January 2011 by visiting the link given above. If you do this could you cut and paste your response if possible into an email to john@nwnetwork.org.uk so that we can include your views in the regions Third Sectori response.
