'Faith Groups Not Equipped To Tackle Social Exclusion' Says Report
The Government’s ambition to enlist faith groups in the fight against social exclusion could be unrealistic, says a report launched today by The Institute for Volunteering Research. The report is based on 25 interviews with faith communities carried out between November 2001 and March 2002 in London, Luton, and Leicester. The faiths represented were: Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, and Sikhism.
