Goodbye YPLA. Hello EFA..

The Young People's Learning Agency closes its doors at the end of March 2012, and YPLA CEO , Peter Lauener comments :

"Over the last two years we have worked to deliver 16-19 funding as simply and fairly as possible, support a rapidly increasingly number of Academies, and oversee the close of the Education Maintenance Allowance and the start-up of the new 16-19 Bursary Fund. We have also worked to support young people in challenging circumstances, including learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, those in youth custody, and, through the European Social Fund, those not in learning or employment. This work will continue when we become part of the new Education Funding Agency (EFA) on 1 April."
