Greater Manchester LSC - Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities Fund (NLDCF)

The Learning and Skills Council Greater Manchester (LSCi Greater Manchester) is pleased to encourage applications to the Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities Fund (NLDCF). The Fund will help organisations – especially those from the voluntary and community sector - which provide learning opportunities in the poorest neighbourhoods. The LSC is aware that these organisations already do some of the most innovative work and are able to engage people whom more mainstream funding and educational providers find hard to reach. Applications will be judged against two criteria:
\

\

\
1.The GMLSC prospectus that outlines the LSC priorities and process.
\
2.The Manchester Prospectus which includes particular priorities required in Manchester.
\

\

\
Bids will have to meet the LSC requirements to be considered but will be prioritised against the Manchester requirements. The main type of organisationseligible to receive funding are Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations. The closing date for applications is 4.00pm on Monday 12th September 2005 and applicants will be notified of the outcome by 30th Semptember 2005.
