Tue, 17/11/2009

From April 2010 the Skills Funding Agency will be responsible for all publicly funded adult skills training in England outside of higher education. Its main function will be to direct public funding quickly and efficiently to further education colleges and other learning providers, in response to individual and employer demand.

The Agency will create the right conditions so that colleges and providers can deliver the skills that employers and individuals need now and in the future, supporting skills development in areas of strategic importance to the economy.

This briefing document explains the role and remit of the new Skills Funding Agency (SFA). For further information please visit: How the Skills Funding Agency will Operate
