Inclusive Partnership
EUi Employment and Social Affairs Ministers have called for a more active participation of local authorities, trade unions, companies and non-governmental organisations in the National Action Plans for social inclusion. A Resolution adopted at the Council meeting on 3 December calls for stronger collaboration between European institutions, national governments, regional and local authorities, social partners and civil society organisations so as to improve social inclusion policy. Whilst the Resolution has no legislative implications, it represents a strong political will to develop better communication and consultation. The UK government has already says it plans to take forward the recommendations.
