INTERREG IVB NWE Annual Event – December 2010
North West Network staff attended the annual event for the INTERREG IVB North West Europe, European Programme which was hosted in Manchester in December 2010. Until 2013, the Programme will invest €355 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDFi) into the economic, environmental, social and territorial future of North West Europe (NWE).
INTERREG IVB NWE is a financial instrument of the European Union's Cohesion Policy. It funds projects which support transnational cooperation. The aim is to find innovative ways to make the most of territorial assets and tackle shared problems of Member States, regions and other authorities.
The two day conference explained how innovation applies to the NWE Programme and the kind of projects NWE is willing to fund under this Priorityi. The conference also promoted the results of the Programme so far and offered network opportunities for potential and current project promoters.
