National Employer Skills Survey 2007

This report presents key findings from the Region on the National Employer Skills Survey 2007. Since National Employer Skills Survey 2007 (NESS07) was completed there has been a sharp and synchronised global economic downturn. The challenges to the global economy will inevitably mean that the findings of this report may appear over optimistic. In recognition of this, the report provides updates on the recent development of learning and skills sector in terms of policy and performance.
In recognition of the challenges that employers face in the current economic climate the National Employer Survey 2009 will pose questions on the current economic climate and the sample will be boosted by an additional 1,000 employers to 9,826 to enable analysis at local authority district level.
