Consultations

The Equality and Human Rights Commission has launched an Inquiry into the protection and promotion of human rights of older people in England who require or receive home-based care and support.

The Office for Civil Society has indicated that it hopes to invest in a new infrastructure programme for the voluntary sector, and has launched a consultation that asks charities and social enterprises how they would like the government to support them.

The Compact is being renewed to align with the coalition Government's emerging policy priorities, and to deliver better national and local partnerships. The Government is proposing a much shorter (3 pages to be precise) and concise document which will be easier to implement.

The UK Government aims to establish a new Poverty Impact Fund this year. The objective is to support poverty-fighting groups, with a focus on service delivery in support of the Millennium Development Goals.
