What's New
Over the next two years, two important funds for training schemes, employment initiatives and regeneration projects (ESFii and SRB) come to an end. The London Development agency and Government Office for London’s European Unit have jointly commissioned this tool for projects to help them self-assess how ready they are to move on from ESF/SRB funding to other business models or alternatively to manage an effective end to their activities. The Readiness assessment tool is intended as an air pro project management to help to identify weak areas that either need to be tackled now or as part of a long term plan. European Social Fund: Good practice in helping disabled people back to work
Earlier this year, ESF division asked project providers to send them details of their work with disabled people. Consultants commissioned by DWP and the EQUAL Support Unit have analysed this information and produced a guide to good practice in helping disabled people back to work.
This good practice guide is designed to help project providers, Co-financingi Organisations and policy makers help disabled people and those with long-term health conditions get back to work – one of the key aims of the European Social Fund programme in England. The guide contains practical advice and case studies from both Objective 3i and EQUAL projects. It will inform projects to help disabled people in the new ESF programme for 2007-2013.
